A little bee came to visit!

13 weeks

John is really changing every week, he is just such a joy. He is determined to sit up by himself and will pull himself away from the back of the sofa to balance all by himself. He is now bouncing in the exersaucer and really gets a kick out of himself! I just can't believe how fast everything is going. It is so neat to see him reach for toys and be able to hold them in his hands. I think his favorite thing is to stand up. If you hold his hands he will just balance and check out the whole room. We are making progress on tummy time, although he still doesn't last long! Now if he will just take a good morning nap....oh well, we'll keep working on it.

Pumpkin patch

John and I stopped by a pumpkin patch today-it is so beautiful outside! John is wearing a beautiful sweater knitted by Auntie Ruth--thanks Ruth, it is great!
That pumpkin behind John is the exact size of his noggin!

12 weeks

3 months old and wearing his first pair of jeans. He grows so fast-the clothes can't keep up. These pants have room to spare in length, but around the waist they are just big enough!

John is becoming so active! He can now sit up for quite a long time and when he lays on the floor he's like a little wiggle worm.

10 weeks

Look at my little boy! John, you have started to do so many new things! You have discovered your fingers and now love to stuff them all in your mouth. You can reach for and hold a toy in your hand. We can hold hands and I can pull you up to sit and then to stand. You are as proud of doing this as I am of you. I love it when you babble, trying to imitate me when I sing off-key. The exersaucer is fast becoming a favorite for you, there are so many things to look at you don't know where to begin. Your Dad and I can't believe how fast you are growing-every day there is something new. This week you weighed in at 13lbs 10 oz. and measure 23.25" long. 75th percentile for weight and 50th for height. You are a happy, chubby baby!
