17 weeks

This week I had a difficult time geting a photo before John grabbed his toes. His latest achievement is holding his feet and boy does he like to show it off! It does make it easy to wipe his little bottom on the changing table! We are getting some real belly laughs this week and John now giggles at peek a boo! John is yet to roll over but he is getting close. He is much more settled on his eating routine and actually eats less now than he was a couple of weeks ago. John isn't sleeping through the night yet but we are getting close(maybe I shouldn't write that-he'll make a liar of me).
I crack myself up!

Thanksgiving 2009

This Thanksgiving I have a lot to be thankful for. This has been the best year ever. My beautiful baby boy has changed my life in so many ways. Bill and I love him so much, we can't believe he's ours. I have the best family and friends who support me in so many ways. I couldn't so it without them! So I am extra thankful this year for so very much!

Everyone ready to dig in!

This shirt is so hilarious! Johm looks like Popeye in it--with his giant forearms! I mean, is anything cuter. As you can see from these shots John is really sitting up..and then toppling forward. He thinks it is a hoot.

This is my favorite shot of John and me.

I was trying on some shoes I had for John and amazingly he fits these size 2/3 crocs. He thinks they are pretty amusing.

Our latest acquesition. I found a Baby Bjorn carrier on Craigs list from a lady in the neighborhood. She mentioned this jumper that both her sons really enjoyed. I got both for a song! John jumps like a wild man..definitely a good fit!

The Ohio State-Michigan game is today.John is ready..are you? Go Bucks!!

15 weeks and more

Another week flies by...we are having such a great time. John is loving the fall! Watching the leaves and trees, feeling the warm breezes! We have taken lots of great walks and sat outside in the screen porch enjoying the scenery.

McDowell Park. We intended to go last Monday, but when we arrived there was a sign saying the park was closed. Puzzled, we considered sneaking in. I'm glad we didn't because on Tuesday there was a big article in the newspaper, complete with pictures, describing the job of culling deer at local parks.

The park has some beautiful areas and a nice path we can easily push John around on.

John continues to get stronger, and a little more happy, about being on his tummy. He is definitely pushing up more with his arms!

I love these "outakes" from our 14 week photo shoot--John just toppled over to show off his elbow dimples--

14 weeks

This has been my first week back at work. I am lucky to be working just 3 days a week for the first 6-9 months. It has been hard to walk out the door and leave my baby, but I know he is in such good hands! Aunt Susan watched him the first day and Grandma will do Thursdays. On Wednesdays I have found the lovely Millie who is just wonderful and has oodles of experience not only with her own children but being a nanny also. Once John is used Mama being gone for a while I think he will thrive with all these great babysitters.I am just so glad that John can stay at home and not have to go to a daycare in a strange place. Also, with all the talk of flu this year I feel so much more secure with him safe at our house.
The kid continues to grow bigger every week. He is determined to not be a baby for long. John can really grasp his favorite toys now and loves to laugh at our silly songs. He sleeps so well at night and even adjusted to daylight savings with ease!

We have been having a lot of fun around here! John is exploring the world more and more every day. He's just so darn cute!

I'm a little bananas!
